8:30 AM                      Several field trips are planned to the local Paulownia plantations of Ralph Donaldson. The car caravan will be formed and depart from the LaQuinta Inn parking lot at 8:30 AM promptly.

PURPOSE

The theme of the seventeenth annual meeting is “Plantation Paulownia Revisited – Site Selection, Planting, Maintenance, Harvesting & Marketing”, and will address Paulownia with respect to: silva-culture, product development, marketing, energy production and current research activities.

AUDIENCE

Landowners, growers, farmers, foresters, loggers, wood product manufacturers, home construction fabricators, investors, green industry enthusiasts, energy researchers and producers, and anyone interested in learning more about Paulownia.

SEMINAR & FIELD TRIPS

There is beginner’s seminar scheduled for Thursday afternoon from 3:00PM – 6:00PM at the LaQuinta Inn. Following the conference activities Friday afternoon, a field trip is scheduled to the Brent DuBois Paulownia plantation. Additional field trips are planned to the local plantations of Ralph Donaldson Saturday morning starting at 8:30AM.
